Do your friends REALLY like that?

Sis hates sweets and desserts, cookies and chocolates, anything sweet, basically... so, when I bake for my friends, she just doesn't "get it" that I will go through all that work and that people actually enjoy the alfajores and the bars and the brownies....LOL!

    Alfajores are a type of cookie that is practically death by sweetness! Itīs like a toffee-filled cookie sandwich covered in powdered sugar.

    They are really easy to make (a bit time consuming, but easy!)

    Needless to say, my sister hates them!

    well, i suppose you could make her see by suggesting something she LOVES that she may make or give to someone else, to make the same point. sometimes people have a hard time seeing something in a different perspective lol.

    but those alfajores sound DELISH. i am definately a sweet person!!! (i think my job might be different if i weren't!)

    LOL! Yep, I asked her if she would think differently if I were making chicken pies! She still thought it was way too much work!

    We bake because we love. And there's something so wonderful about people enjoying a sweet eating experience!

    Exactly!
    I feel that bringing someone a home baked treat says: Here, I love you enough to make something with my own hands for you to enjoy!....for sis, itīs too much work for something thatīs not "permanent"!
