I'm not surprised. I've heard here and there that it's a great destination becus its beaches are as lovely as others in that area but so much more affordable than the usual hot spots. It also seems sometimes that poorer countries have more of their indigenous landscape and natural resources intact becus they haven't yet been plundered by corporations wanting to make a profit. I'm pretty sure El Salvador was where my old boyfriend went to med school, too.

I can't wait to go back to ES... Of course, I may be biased since I was born there and have family living there, but it is a beautiful country.

I have heard that ES is like Costa Rica used to be... and I really did like CR, so that leads me to want to make a trip! I will have to come for a visit to your beautiful country some day. Anything for some insurance of nice weather, especially now, as it gets colder in SE Europe... brrr.

Well, Jerry, December through April would be the best season, because it's dry season...no rain! eh, try to avoid the month before Holy Week, though, for some reason, that is THE hottest week of the year (and I don't mean in a good way, I mean you'd ROAST!)
One advantage of El Salvador is that, being so small, you could have breakfast in the city, lunch at the lake or mountain and, watch the sunset at the beach during dinner, all in the same day!
