school supplies in bulk!

Ale and I went to get her school supplies. Instead of getting just what the list said, we got dozens (or half dozens) of everything: lead pencils, colored pencils, highlighters, erasers, pencil sharpeners. I estimated a total of $50, and was surprised that the total was $58. But, then I remembered we had added a Spanish-Spanish dictionary (one that has more words than the one I bought 2 years ago, when she started school), which cost $6.00, so, in reality, I was only over by $2.00! (and those were a couple of notebooks we had not found previously).Soooo....she should now be set for the whole year!

    we do that too. 2 years ago i went crazy with notebooks and we are just finishing up now with that stock! I keep a box in my closet just for school supplies that I can buy cheap over the summer.

    The Walmart here last year had spiral notebooks for a nickle each. I bought 3 boxes of them. We homeschool and use one for each subject for each girl. We just have a few left. Since we don't have to have our items by a certain date, we can also wait and buy what is left on sale after school starts.

    Very smart...stocking up! My girls tend to get into the stockpile stuff though and use it for "art" instead of school! Looks like it is time to load up again! Hope we find some good deals like you did!
