I don't remember WHEN I bought them, but I DO know it was 2008, so they couldn't possibly be more than 11 months old, and one of them broke today... they are not unusable, I can walk in them, but they ripped and even if repaired, would probably look awful, so I can no longer wear them to work...
I will have to hit the outlet tomorrow to find a suitable replacement ("las 3 B: Bueno, Bonito, Barato!" - should be good quality, look nice and be cheap... or, at least, NOT expensive!)
Oh, well...
What I get for buying cheap shoes!!

My current favourites have lasted me a record-breaking 5 years. They were average cost.
I think it is important to find a quality brand of shoe that suits your feet... they don't have to be expensive.

anyway... I ended up goint to the outlet (had a big scare, because MY outlet wasn't there anymore, there was a cheap rip off shoe store -- I call it that because they CLAIM to be cheaper, but, if you check prices you realize they are NOT discounted!!)... anyway...decided to keep on looking and MY outlet just relocated to a different place in the same mall!! ::whew::
Problem was... they didn't have shoes in MY size!!!... I wear a 5 1/2... so if they don't have that, I can wear a 6... yesterday they had only 1 pair that fit!!! (the 5's were way too tight!)... and they cost $45!!!! True, it's from the Hush Puppies line that generally cost $60- $70 (which generally I don't even look at!-- and I must admit, they are A LOT more cushioned.... aaaaaahhhh).
Whenever I go window shopping at the "original" store, if I find a shoe I like I wave at it and say: see you at the outlet in a couple of months, deary!
