We had to buy a new blender...ours was old and stopped working...must be the motor...I found a blender on sale for $19.99....and had to buy new video and sound cables for the DVD..."someone" chewed on them! ...those were $23...but the new ones are 3x as strong as the original ones!...(and Fiona better stay away from them!)

our blender is old.....it is a waring futura series... and it is still working great... waiting for it to die.. it has been one of our better investments. we bought it at an estate sale, brand new for a couple of dollars..
our blender before that, our motor died... one of our friends had the base with the motor and gave it to us... that lasted about 5 years too. i think it was a sunbeam.
